On a trip to India and Nepal last month, along with trekking in the foothills of the Himalayas, white water rafting, an elephant back safari and being in awe of beauty of the country and it’s people, I happened upon a Nepali wedding taking place in a small village and wanted to share the photos.

The bridal couple is adorned with white rice paste and the usual colorful Tika on their foreheads.  As you can see, it is pretty much a female event!  The men were in the field next to the venue, smoking, chatting and playing their musical instruments.
